'Blossoms and Revelations’ at the Sublime Galleria, UB City

Unveiled on the 1st December at 6 pm, at Sublime Galleria, art exhibition 'Blossoms and Revelations’
Bearing testimony to two extremely talented and beautiful ladies, Upasana Asrani and Vijayalakshmi Veerappan, the exhibition is aptly titled  'Blossoms and Revelations’.
Don't take my word for it, you have to go see it for yourself.
Showcased at Sublime Galleria, one of South India’s leading art galleries the paintings will be on display until 01 January 2019.

 About 'Blossoms and Revelations'
Thrilled to cover this special event, I was there at the venue at 6 pm. And I was not disappointed. Not one bit. These works of art were just pure joy at the outset.
Both the artists have collaborated with respect to the exhibition but their work is totally different from each other, with completely diverse styles.
They are showcased in four different rows and the lighting is extremely good and yes, you are allowed to touch it.

Vijayalakshmi

Upasana

They say the mind of an artist can never be fathomed, but that is exactly what I set out to do.

                      "BLOSSOMS"
Spoke to Vijayalakshmi to get her take on her beautiful floral paintings.
Commenting on it, Vijayalakshmi said “Art has always been my first love and I have enjoyed painting in vibrant colors that reflect a positive nature. I use colors to express myself and connect to people. The pictorial narratives are powerful in their abstract voice. I am thrilled to showcase my recent collection of artworks in Bengaluru and look forward to a great response!”
Vijaya majored in Fine Arts at the Stella Maris College, Chennai. She has worked in a variety of mediums from art on fabric to designing and painting on pottery. She has had several exhibitions showcasing her work in these two mediums. Her love for traditional art forms took her to Singapore where she studied Chinese art as well as to the Kumara Rajah Muthiah School of Traditional Arts and Crafts where she learned Tanjore painting.
Another feather on her cap, she also has a National Diploma in Interior Design.

                     "REVELATIONS"

Upasana Asrani’s abstracts depict her personal journey of love, life, loss and lessons learnt. Her works are a reflection of an amazing journey of self-discovery.
Upasana signed up with Gallery Veda in Chennai to showcase her works and will be showing alongside emerging artists from the Middle East and Europe towards the end of 2019. Upasana’s works have been a part of several private and corporate commissions for boutique hotels, offices and residences.
She says, “I feel immense gratitude for being able to express my deepest emotions through art. I hope to make art inclusive, interactive and an integral part of our everyday lives. The vibrant colours, interwoven with various textures convey the many facets of my experiences.”
